In accordance with the Quebec CSST requirements and rules(LSST)

Sterility depends specifically of the manufacturing procedures, handling and packaging of the item.
The manufacturer shall ensure throughout the manufacturing process that
high standards of safety and sterility of equipment, instruments, room and ambient air is respected at all times.
Moreover, the manufacturer must ensure sterility and he is responsible for failure, error or defect in the product.

Also, the manufacturer guarantees sterility as long as the dressing is not open , it is in its original packaging
and that it is not soiled or damaged .

The user must store it properly and handle sterile dressing very carefully so as not to defile it when applying to the wound.
The user should also throw away, the remaining sterile gauze that have been opened and have not been used.

Please also note these importants facts:
    - The alcohol pads are not suitable for wounds, they are used to disinfect:
    • instruments
    • non-damaged skin
    • and/or injection sites
    - Be sure to take time to compare the contents of the first-aid kit you want to buy, with the official standard of CCP or CSST
in order not to end up with a non-compliant kit and have to buy another kit that is compliant.
